NICHOLAS LAMBSON is an active performer, teacher, and scholar of the guitar.
He has performed and taught throughout California and has written articles on
guitar pedagogy and guitar technique. Nicholas has recently completed his Master
of Music degree at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music under David Tanenbaum
and Dusan Bogdanovic, with scholarship. Selected as the Guitar Department Teaching
Assistant to David Tanenbaum, Nicholas conducted collegiate guitar ensemble rehearsals,
arranged department recitals and master classes, served as the department liaison
while Mr. Tanenbaum toured, and was responsible for other department logistics.
Nicholas has participated in several master classes for notable performers, including
Scott Tennant, Lily Afshar, Antigoni Goni, and the Katona twins, and has taken
lessons from Bill Kanengeiser and Jack Sanders.
Nicholas also holds Bachelor of Arts degrees with Honors in Guitar Performance
and in Recording Arts from California State University, San Bernardino, where
he studied under Stuart Green. While in attendance there, he was the recipient
of numerous academic and musical awards, including Performer of the Year,
Scholar of the Year, commencement speaker in 2004, university honors program
participant, and member of several national academic honor societies. He
also acquired a minor in English while studying abroad in Hull, England at
the University of Hull.
Nicholas also enjoys fine art, film, hiking, and walking, whenever possible.
July 10 - 17: The recording of Philippine Treasures Volume
II took place at Illinois State University with guitarist, Dr. Angelo Favis.
Post-production is underway and the CD is expected to be released later in
