As others have mentioned, the event really wasn't that fluffy, with one arrest plus another attempted arrest and baton attacks en route, plus many more arrests at the gates when demonstrators refused to obey a police helicopter dispersal order.

Yesterday (20 July), B'Tselem published footage it received of a soldier firing a rubber-coated steel bullet, from extremely short range, at a Palestinian detainee who was cuffed and blindfolded. The act occurred about two weeks ago in the presence of several security forces, among them the battalion commander, a lieutenant colonel, who held the Palestinian’s arm while the soldier fired.

Around forty people assembled at the Midlands Arts Centre yesterday for a 'drive slow' with cyclists around Birmingham's ring road. The protest was organised by the public sector union UNISON as part of it's national two day strike for fair pay.
