Sailing boats 'parked' on a jetty.
Tower and spire semi-silhoutetted against a dusk sky. Balanced by a glimpse of the moon (which can be very simply cloned out if required).
London's River Thames, and high-rise buildings in Docklands (Canary Wharf), under an 'active' sky at dawn.
Tower Bridge, London.
Reflected here in the windows of a nearby office block, the new Swiss Re building in the City of London is affectionately known as the 'Gherkin'. Standing some 180m (590 ft.) tall this unique structure dwarfs most other buildings and is a unique and characteristic addition to London's skyline.
It sits comfortably with a variety of architectural styles and structures

Slightly obscured and distorted face seen through a glass; specular highlights partially conceal. Amused expression.

A downstream view of the Thames in London from, er, underneath the next bridge up from Blackfriars.
One of the very few places where you can see a sunset over water, in the east of England -- over the River Thames. This shot was taken close to Tilbury, one evening in October.
This image is presented exactly as it came out of the camera, the only work being a conversion from RAW with default settings.
An echo of blue evening light, in the London Eye.
A 'letterbox' crop of something vertical -- but the colour is really the subject, not the eye itself.

Fireworks -- or palm trees, perhaps? Would make a good Christmas card or greeting card
Title: "Steerage" 2005
Well, not really steerage, but passengers on deck during a Thames pleasure cruise.

Rare and unusual viewpoint of the new Gherkin building in London -- from the inside of the dome at the very top of the tower.
Two City buildings in London, against the sky. One is the so-called 'Gherkin'.
This is a rosebud that managed to separate itself from a bunch of flowers which had been given to my wife. After a few days in a glass of water, in a sunny place, it opened beautifully.

Erm, here's yet another flower. Don't know what it is, but the colouring is somewhat unusual and that's what first caught my eye.

Not every building in the City is easily dwarfed by the London's new Gherkin tower. Some can stand up for themselves...apparently!

View downwards onto a hi-tech lift (elevator). Or, you could take the spiral staircase

An LP record being played on a top-flight turntable. For the benefit of any Flat Earthers, the setup is: Linn LP12/Lingo/Cirkus/Trampolinn/Ekos/K9. And the record is by Sinatra.
To clarify, the soft focus is motion blur. LPs are never perfectly flat and this resulted in movement of both disk and tonearm. In the lower right-hand corner a zoom view will show that dust under the platter is perfectly in focus but the adjacent platter edge isn't. This is as intended.
One of the bars at the Great British Beer Festival at Olympia in London, 2004. There were some 400+ real ales on sale -- and lots and lots of handpumps.

Well, I would -- if I wanted to keep breathing.

I'd be getting out of the way pretty smartish
Three ladies from the Dark Ages re-enactment group Ormsgard! raise a ceremonial horn to the sky. No doubt it's charged with G&T;, er, mead.
Closeup of a gold decoration on an iced cake. Its actually from my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary
There are so many photographers to be seen around where I work, in central London, that they are now part of the landscape! So I have started watching and recording them too.
This smiling chap by the Lloyds building took it all in good humour and enjoyed the joke.

The world's longest pleasure pier, at Southend-on-Sea in England, is some 2360 yards (2158 metres) long and a favourite with day-trippers to the coast.

Just catching a little of the early evening sunlight
Pipes, valves and drain taps attached to a wall.
Two pitched roofs against the sky, in some brilliant early-morning sunlight. This caught my eye because of the strong brightness and colour intensity in both the sky and the end gable, and the contrast with the deep shadows.
This photo is unmanipulated, and presented exactly as shot.
Tower block looking somewhat surreal in bright sunlight.
I don't care -- I have a favourite sunset to post, too!
A golden yellow sunset as seen across the Thames Estuary. Shot from the cliffs at Southend-on-Sea, Essex, on the balcony of the Alexandra Yacht Club.
Riding the chair in Whistler, Canada
On reflection I agree with the rater's view that the chair would be better centred; however I am leaving the shot un-cropped so that a picture Editor can make that choice for themselves. Cover the RH edge to whatever extent pleases you!
Slightly foreshortened view of the dome of the Kursaal, at Southend-on-Sea, seen behind part of the brick parapet.
The Kursaal is a famous amusement centre, once having been a full-sized fairground. It is a familiar sight to day trippers from London.
