Dear Fellow M45 Owners,This thread is to take an indication of interest for SC or Turbo. I am looking to make a kit and produce them for our group. The kit will include everything, and cost will be in the area of $7,000.00. I am thinking we can make 400whp + on stock internals with proper materials. That will be an additional 120apx. whp gain on top of what we are starting with. Please fill out the poll with information on what specifically you are looking at. The poll says that you are allowed to fill in your own answers. The more specific the better detail on the kit once it is released. Hey all,The name's Andrew. I just picked up an s13 240sx last week. 155k on the body and 3k on the motor (which is already starting to take a **** on me, blows HUGE clouds of burnt oil at 5.5k-7k RPM... Whatever.)I am new to Nissans but not really to cars. I used to own three DSM's so as you can tell I am a pretty seasoned backyard mechanic. LOL. I work at a ten minute oil change place (AVOID THESE TYPES OF PLACES BTW) and play guitar and work on cars for fun. I've actually grown up around cars and music so those are my two passions. yo,,before you state these cars are obviously in two different price ranges.... I was thinking, w/ a few mods, the price range isn't that far off...i.e. 27K a/c (3.5 SE w/ premium) with another 3K in mods,,, vs a 37K G37,,, that's 7 grand difference. 7 grand financed over 5 years isn't too huge of a deal, but then there are also considerations like higher excise tax and higher insurance costs.nevertheless, if you 3.5 SE guys had that extra 7K in your budget, would you go for the G37. it's AWD (yay) and has maybe like 50 HP's greater,, and of course is more refined inside. a/c is smaller though and probably more maneuvarable, not to mention that it is enjoyable to mod your own car,,,,thoughts
I just did an intake manifold gasket, and I connected everything else back on properlyI am getting fuel and sparkHowever the car keeps turning over and not startingwhat could it beI am stumped
Now the vehicle won't start.I've checked that it has spark, and it is getting fuel.what could it beI am stumpedWhat sensors going bad could cause it not to start.The crank and cam should be good as I am getting spark upon startup.
i'm doing a headunit install for a friend of mine and i was just wondering about the antenna adapter. the adapter has a blue wire and of course the motorola style plug. does the blue wire need to be hooked up to power something for use use of the factory antenna do i use the remote turn on wire from the headunit

So im looking over my engine today checking on things and i find out that 3 of the bolts holding the valve cover on are not tight at all, in fact i can actually just take them off. i would assume this would be a problem, right the bolts don't look striped i can put them in the wholes, but when i tighten them its like they don't reach the bottom, or the holes are completely stripped and i need either a bigger/longer bolt or need to have someone drill the holes and find a bolt that fits...the car still runs fine but i don't want it to start leaking or something one day out of the blue...here's a reference pic of the bolts that are loose (circled in red)

Need to buy these parts, and I am getting them from the US instead of Japan as its alot less hassel. Is there any reason why these parts from Infiniti wouldnt work on my car
Ok. So I decided that a 350Z is what I want for a new car. Well, I'm not going to be able to afford a brand new one but 03-04 will work just fine for me. Anyway, I went to the bank and they approve on a loan and everything so now I'm thinking that I just have to find the right car. NOT!!I call up my insurance lady and she tells me that for an 03 Z it's gonna cost me $347/month for full coverage. I'm like "are you nuts" There is no way that I can afford to pay for insurance that is just as much as my car payment. So I was wondering, to all of you Z owners, could you answer the following questions for me- How old are you Married- How many tickets have you had- What do you pay for insurance for full coverage- What insurance company do you useI would really appreciate as many answers as possible. ok so ive had my car for a while and its been the same ever since..for some reason my HUD and other digital display only seem to work when the car is hot inside...so if my cabin is hot it works..but if its cold it will only work until the engine makes it hot(about 15 minutes).and if my Hud isnt working my backlights on the cluster arent working..also what i found out recently is that my odometer only works when the full cluster is functioning properly..if my car is nice and warm everything works fine..i have no idea what could be causing this so if some one has the same problem your help will be widely appreciated...thanks
Hey I have some used parts from a motor swap on an 03 350z. I have a blown longblock with a bunch of usable parts on it, for example:Throttle Body - $40Coolant or Oil Sensor - $10Fuel Rail with Injectors - $30Coil Packs - $25 eachCam Position Sensors - $25 eachEngine harness - $60Injector subharness - $20Basically I have all the sensors, and assorted extras that came off the old engine. I also have a crank pulley, intake manifolds, and heads but these aren't going to be cheap to ship. I'm pretty sure this stuff is compatible with other RWD VQ35's and all of the prices are OBO. Recently my stock clutch fan started chewing through my fan shroud... I have a koyo radiator in there and it has always had around half an inch or so of clearance, and now all of the sudden i found it hitting the shroud and it was chewing it up pretty bad... I am considering just removing the shroud and stock clutch fan setup and replacing it with an electric setup.. What is your setup Can you post pics and also show how its wired up I cannot find a useful thread anywhere and im also wondering what the CFM rating is on the stock clutch fan setup.. I am wondering if the stock fan spins and pulls air through the radiator I am assuming that it does pull air through it because if it was pushing air through it while you are moving forward it would be terribly ineffective... I need a good setup for a fan i do not want to worry about any cooling issues, and i DO NOT want to pull the radiator out or take out any coolant sensors... Im thinking of just getting a fan with the same CFM rating as the stock clutch fan unit and just having it run all the time that the car is turned on... Otherwise im either going to just buy a new fan shroud and fan clutch or i am going to purchase this..... Which is made for the 240's..... I just have no clue what to do for wiring it and i dont feel comfortable with it.. at this point PRICE IS NO CONCERN i just need to get this taken care of in the best way possible!!
I already replaced the starter cause it didn't start the first time so I took it off, bench tested it and it was bad. So now it still does not start, I went to put in the new starter that I know is good. But now with the new one in it still does not start. The plugs are all done right, lights everything else turns on, stays on. I have a red top optima trunk mounted with 2 gauge wire for positive and ground. I only switched out the speedo sensor on the transmission, I don't know if I need the others off the KA or if the SR's will do; I had to use the KA plugs for the sr sensors. Fuel pump primes and the starter relay is clicking when I turn the key yet no starter start. Lights never dim at all, I put in brand new plugs with proper gap. It's a redtop into a 92 S13. Can't think of anything else... If there is anymore info needed let me know. All the grounds are solid, no connections or wires are loose. And yes, I already tried searching...Thanks for any and all help.
yesterday i was wiping my window, and maybe there was sand on my cloth or the window itself, and after a good rub and scrub...my window had swirl marks and long scratch lines anyone know how much it cost to replace the corner windowor how i can sand the window down and repolish it back to looking niceright now its not that noticable..but im not happy with the scratches at all...made my entire day ****ty

I have had my front lip and spoiler sitting in my garage for the last 3 weeks waiting on paint. My buddy finally picked them up and painted them this afternoon. So I just finished installing them and they went on really easy. So hear are some pics and tell me what you think.P.S. I have a almost stock 1993 S13 Hatchback with stock 15" S13 SE wheels and Eibach springs and Tokico Blue dampers. I replaced the car with SPL Tension rods and Tein Tie rods + tie rods ends + spacers. When I turn my car full-lock to both direction, the tires rub against my car. Is that normal for adding the spacers since the spacers give me more angle Any way to fix the rubbing problemI just installed Hawk HPS Brake Pads (HB262F.540 and HB231F.625) and Russell Stainless Steel Brake Lines. I used DOT 4 Alto Brake Fluid. Is it normal that brake pads touch the rotors even though the brake pedal is not pressed It is like the brake pads are rubbing against the rotors. I test drove my car, but my car stopped slower. Before I replaced my old brake pads, and stock brake lines. When I slammed the brake hard, my car would fully lock up the rotors and my car would skid. I think that is normal because my car has no ABS. But after I replaced the brake pads and brake lines, the car would not fully lock up the rotors and stop slowly. Is that normal I followed the correct procedures for bleeding my brakes and there should be no brake fluid leak for now.Thanks!

hey, i need help on how to drop engine or change head gasketts in 1988 bluebird... HELP!!!
I just picked up a White S14 and even with the weak KA its a fun car to drive!! On with the problems, first, I'm having problems with the cluster. The temp. gauge just randomly bounces while I'm driving.... When the car isn't running it reads perfectly fine but once the engine is running it just rests at the bottom and periodically bounces around... At idle it will read normal sometimes but if I touch the throttle it falls down and maybe bounce around a bit.... Second problem with the cluster is the tach climbs slower than the engine and the speedo will suddenly drop down and not work Sometimes if I hit (not real hard or anything lol) the cluster the speedo will just pop back up and start working....Since I'm on a roll I'll keep going with the problems.... I dk what to do with the rear driver's side little window, the striping is coming off in places on the bottom of it.... The paint has started to "bubble" a bit in that area (which makes me sad but I need to stop the problem or at least slow it down) I can take some pics if anyone would like to see.... Sooo should I just try to get some kind of sealer or just see if I can get the whole strip replaced around the windowNext, the previous owner put in a J30 LSD diff that whines.... Its getting quite annoying and I'm guessing replacing it is a must at this point.... I've had the car a week now and trying to sort out the problems.... Outside of this **** I just need to replace the rear trunk lid (someone did a **** job patching the holes), need a new bin under the stereo and a shift boot.... Then the car would be a damn near perfect S14 lol.... Thanks for the help....
