This may be a 'duh' question but.... I know that northern Africa is French and Arabic and Angola and Mozambique are Portuguese and South Africa is English. What do the rest of the countries speak? Is there one major dialect that is spoken? If I spoke Spanish, English, Portuguese, and French Could I talk to everyone? (except Arabic). Ski in Spain

Hi, My husband would like to snowboard in Spain this winter and I would go along, altough I don't ski. I'll be with my daughter (6 month baby) and just want a nice scenery for walking around and resting. Can anyone give us a suggestion, bearing in mind that we'd like a village where he could go snowboard and meet me for lunch or for a coffee in the afternoon? We've been to Murren/Wengen in Switezerland and we both loved ... [Posted by aarantes, in the Europe Forum - Nov 20, 15:59]

What tool do you use to plan your trips?

Hello travelers! I'm new to this board and I was just poking around to see what people usually do and use while planning their trips. I found this thread http://www.travellerspoint.com/forum.cfm?thread=48149 and I'm curious: for anyone who plans their trips, even if the trips are 50% planned, what tool do you use to plan them? Personally, I use Excel because it's easier, but I'm wondering if anyone actually uses a real "trip planning" tool? ... [Posted by willcheung, in the General Talk Forum - Nov 20, 09:56]

BUNAC

How much more expensive is it to go through BUNAC than to arrange everything myself in the end? I know it's like $450 for the program/visa, but don't they arrange your airfare? Last minute London Richmond/Twickenham accommodation?

Extremely last minute, I'm pondering flying over to London to catch a concert by a favorite artist. The problem is, it's in the southwestern suburb of East Twickenham, and I'm afraid I'd miss the last tube/train after the show (I know the artist personally, so would want to linger and chat), so ideally I'd have accommodation reasonably close by. Anyone happen to be a local and know something cheap but decent for a night in that area? ... [Posted by Sander, in the Europe Forum - Nov 20, 06:56]

Help me with the Great Adventure.

Hello, I just joined this site tonight. Here's the thing: - I've been aimlessly drifting through life for the last few years. I've wanted to travel for some time, but keep getting lazy and putting it off. I've been to New Zealand twice to visit my sister and I loved it. I have a major bug in me to see the world. Everything. Big cities and deserted villages. The highways of California and the dirt roads off Mongolia. The MacGregor/Boorman thing. But ... [Posted by advtr08, in the Travel Companions Forum - Nov 19, 18:08]
