We have to say from the start this was our 4th time we have been to Holiday Beach Club and it will be our last, the first 3 occasions were perfect, very clean, new towels and bed linen everyday and also the romm cleaned out daily..but this last time we were there as soon as we arrived our room was broken into and our passports and cash were removed from the room while we were having a much wanted dip in the pool after a very long flight..i will add passports etc were returned as the person who took them hadnt gone very far... The security was basically a laugh as soon as you tried to walk back to your room at night and i might add it was dimly lit the security staff seemed to be over friendly with the female holiday makers, many occasions my wife was grabbed but a word with the manager soon sorted it all out..watch out when you buy a drink at the bar, if a female is serving you will not have a problem and she is a sweetie and cant do enough for you as 99% of the staff will, but if a guy is serving watch out as he will always say he hasnt got any change and u will have to pay him later, a week later he gives you a bill that comes to nearly the price of the holiday..we were lucky as we knew this from the time b4 we were there... As far as entertainment goes well what can we say as its not really up to scratch, the odd crab race, the odd african dancers and thats about it.. The food at the hotel was well over priced and very basic so being very close to all the resturants is very handy... one very good tip if you need any clothes washing the cleaning ladies will do it for you and its very cheap but this time we found a place nearly at the top of the private drive on the right..nip in there and its half the price and they iron it for you as well, so the day b4 we left we took all our holiday washing and it was all done and ironed for £5 so i gave them £10 and they were very happy...
23 of us stayed at the flamingo oasis for my friends 50TH B/DAY we had a brilliant time the rooms were spotless, food was excellent, drink well what can i say all inclusive vast amount of drinks to choose from and great measures lol, the staff were very friendly and helpful i would recommend this hotel to anyone, there was a lot of familys staying there also which im sure they all enjoyed, hoping to go back next year
This was our first visit to Greece and we were pleasantly surprised at our hotel. It's basic, as you would expect most self catering apartments to be, but very clean and spacious. The pool is lovely and makes a change that there is no shortage of sunbeds and you don't have to be up at the crack of dawn to get one. As for location it's just off a side street at the top of the main street in Laganas so very quiet at night and only 5 minutes walk into town and another 5 minutes to the beach. WARNING!!! Beware of all the restarant owners trying to entice you to eat in their restaurants, they're a pain in the ar*e. The hosts Hayley and Pan are absolutely fantastic and make you feel at home as soon as you arrive! We made loads of new friends thanks to Hayley and her breakfasts are top banana! The BBQ night is well worth doing for fab food and party games. I wouldn't think twice about heading back to these apartments. Fantastic holiday.
the food was quite good and good choice rooms cleaned everyday staff all very friendly and helpful there was entertainent on every night however we didn't watch others did and said it was ok. location i thought was good apart from derelict hotels around other wise ideal spot for getting around.
I was in majorca last june for two weeks and absolutely loved it,made loads of friends over there.The night life is great every night we would go to cheers pub and then bells nightclub its great loads of people to associate with.The hotel staff were very helpful and nice.The beach is hugh and there is so much to do there you can go water skiing etc.You can get a bus to the old village of Alucudia.There is a theme park about 10 minutes away from the apartments.We went horse riding the laugh we had!!Best holiday ever definitely going back!!Miss every1 loads
would like to share my comments regarding this hotel 'fabulous' booked through thomson for our wedding destination in oct. booked about 1 year ago all inclusive for 14 days which included our wedding well to say it was stress free is an understatement.had an upgrade when we arrived to a honeymoon suite which was fantastic had the wedding on the grounds and it was just all taken care of ranging from the hotel staff to the wedding co-ordinator from thomsons who was absolutely brilliant.wedding was set in the hotel grounds under a huge gazeebo which was all laid whith chairs and flowers you gave the music you wanted to the hotel and they organised playing it for you temperature was about 30 degrees what more can you ask for.
We had a brilliant two weeks staying here at the end of September 2008. The hotel's location is excellent. It's in the middle of Protaras, with lots of restaurants, pubs and shops near by. We were lucky enough to have a pool and sea view from our balcony. The hotel was nice, clean and friendly. The restaurant had a good selection of food but we ate out most nights. We had no problems getting a sun bed by the pool and there were always over half of them free. We split our time between the hotel's pool and the beach. Fig Tree beach is lovely with lots of watersports. I would recommend Protaras and The Alva for anyone wanting a pool & beach holiday.
When i booked this holiday, with a group of my friends for a trip after our A-Level exams, we were not expecting a 5* hotel considering what we had payed. All we wanted was somewhere clearn where we could sleep, a pool to have fun in, a nice bar, and close to the beech and town - which is exactly what we got. The staff are friendly and sit up with the customers at night for drinks. The breakfast is basic - bread, jam, eggs, cucumber and turkish tea kind of thing. The 2 pools are nice, and you are literally an easy stroll to the beach taking about 5 mins. Although there are posters all around requesting that guests dont bring in their own food and drink, its pretty easy to sneak it in! The rooms are cleaned every day and are comfy enough. This is a nice friendly small hotel, close to everything you would ever need, and very good for anyone who is looking for a nice chill out holiday where you can sunbathe and then visit the 'Florida' bar for buy 1 get 1 free coctails!!
WE paid for a 5* hotel when we arrived we were taken out of hotel 1/4 mile down the coast to a very small flat 7 x 6 door open outwards as it hit shower on inside, we refused ans stayed in reception for most of day, we spent £125 on phone calls to England trying to get re located or to fly us home,we got neither and had to accept another flat larger in same block shower filthy floor in room breaking up and getting into feet or be left in reception for the week as the Management & Holiday rep refused to see us. At 8pm on our fist night we were woken by load music and we found we were 50mts away from open air stage. The food is 95% cold with one microwave to heat up in the restaurant. Be warned don't trust TravelRepublic, ABTA registered but with all ABTA on paerwork ABTA said we were not covered by them.
