Wow, no we have not bailed out of Wendy's. The Hot August Nights had been planned since last year. The Road Trip to Rev Jim's was something to do that was a bit different for a change. The Wishes for Will benefit show will be held at Wendy's. Our club has grown in membership and is doing just fine. We won club participation awards at the Dells and Portage this year and have help with two benefit cars show. I am sorry that you are so angry at me, if I have done something to you that has fostered this anger I sincerely apologize. Ever story has two sides.

We're headed to Spring Green, love that show and the downtown atmosphere. Let's hope the weather holds out!

Looks like plenty to chose from this weekend, car show season is winding down! :(

During the month of August Wisconsin Summer Cruisers Tuesday Night Cruise-ins at Wendy's were changed due to activities we scheduled on Thursdays and a Club Road Trip. On August 7, we hosted the Hot August Nights Cruise-in downtown Sun Prairie. On August 12 we took a Road Trip to Rev's Jim new Tuesday Night Cruise-in. They did a really nice job. Thursday, August 21 we are again hosting Hot August Nights Cruise-in downtown Sun Prairie so no Wendy's Cruise-in on August 19. On September 1, 2008 will host the Wishes for Will Car and Truck Show, therefore, no cruiser night on August 28. We close out the year on October 18th with a club appreciation dinner at the Prime Quarter in Madison. I think I posted all the changes on the WCC website. If I missed any I apolize to anyone who may have gone to Wendy's on a Tuesday Night thinking we were having a Cruise-in.

Thank you for asking

So, what your saying is, You have bailed out on Wendy's and decided you would now get involved with Rev. Jim's instead? Why do you constantly keep moving around from one cruise night to the next? Do you just grow tired of the same scenery, or is it that you find a need to constantly not finish something you start?

Perhaps you find this bittersweet revenge because your club fell apart (mostly because of your actions from what I am told by your former members) and yet the club you started originally took the changes that were voted on by the club officers and is still together. Not only that, that club has increased there member roster each year since because they do one thing - have fun. Car clubs aren't a socialist environment....unless you are in charge, it's your way or the highway.

Inquiring minds were wondering.

I don't see it mentioned in the weekly cruise posts. I have heard some people talking they drove by, and there was only one or two cars there.

Just wondering if whoever was doing that cruise was still doing it?

Benchmark Classics is showing their first restoration project as a re-paint of a classic Corvette, just after hiring the extremely talented painter formerly employed by Blue Chip Street Rods. I noticed at the Good Guys Show that Benchmark was advertising the fact that this extremely talented painter was now working for them.

Does anyone have any further info on the Roads Fest Car Show in Cottage Grove, scheduled for this Saturday? I see the info listed on the forum, but is this a "real deal" car show or what? With the weather possibly being a factor on Saturday, this might be a good, local show to consider if I can get some verification on this show.

My first pick is the 4th Annual Jesus Built My Hot Rod Show at the New Life Church in Janesville. I have heard alot of very positive comments and praise for this show. In that this is a year of searching out shows that I have never attended in this past, this looks like a good one to me!

Looks like a fun project. That is some expensive storage for cars.
