Memories, dreams and reflections on guns, the right to keep and bear arms, M1911 pistols, snubnose, revolvers, self defense, gun sports and anything else that comes to mind
So far we will be voting on the following entries. I have made no effort to edit out any entries for being too graphic, given that unlawfully shooting someone through a door isn’t exactly a civilized act. Even worse is evading prosecution.
"I told some policemen the gunmen had moved towards the rear of the station but they refused to follow them. What is the point if having policemen with guns if they refuse to use them? I only wish I had a gun rather than a camera."
Topics: Concealed Carry and Terrorist Threats, Remembering Ruby Ridge, Grizzly Bears and the .357 Magnum, Remington 185g +p .45 ACP ammunition, Ambidextrous Gun fighting.
Pennsylvania gun owners dodged a bullet when lawmakers failed to enact legislation that would have levied a 5-cent tax on each shell and required encoding ammunition with serial numbers and registering those numbers in a statewide database.
A new generation of young people who have never heard of Ruby Ridge are now emerging from the public school system and are heading off to college and will thereafter begin their careers in business, education, journalism, government and other fields. Maybe I’m a bit foolish in that, but it’s my choice.
Ruger has priced the SR9 very competitively, and if you don’t mind a crunchy trigger, this could be an option. Were I buying one of these, I think I’d go first for the pocket .380, the LCP. Nevertheless, the SR9 represents the current trend in personal defense handguns as interpreted by Ruger. I like Ruger guns, but I doubt that this one will be joining my armory anytime soon.
