Red Jewelry out of Australia is distinct with its detail. Mimi, the designer/owner is inspired by her upbringing in Japan, Singapore, and Australia. I encourage you to visit Red Jewelry where you will find a treasure chest of fun, and alluring jewels.
I just want to let you know that it is with heavy heart, that after January, I will no longer be the editor of Thrifty Boutique Jewelry. Due to that fact, our last weekly contest was Jan. 17.
My decision to stop writing for the blog stems around my realization that I just have too much on my plate at this point to handle; my family, my jewelry company, my hopefully soon flamenco dancing again, and my recent extensive back surgery and recovery. I loved writing as it was something I never thought I would, or could do. And I did it for over a year, 5 reviews/per week. It was around 266 reviews. Wow, that’s a lot! I “met” so many amazing and talented and very dedicated designers for those 14 months. I loved getting to know them all. As well, I know we have an awesome readership following, so keep reading this and Thrifty Boutique
Thrifty Boutique Jewelry blog will continue in the meantime with Rosie as the editor. She is the main editor of Thrifty Boutique blog as many of you may know and the one that got it all started.
If you have any questions or just want to say hi, feel free in the comments section.

Sarah Smith, of Rustic Relics has a unique spin on jewelry design. As a graduate in art, her photography eye and mixed media collage art skills have translated into lovely pendant designs. A relaxed style jewelry for the person who appreciates fine art, these affordable pieces are like wearing a masterpiece on your neck.

Janna Conner is an inspiration for me. I appreciate her variation in design and materials in her jewelry. I am a big fan of her variation in styles that fit everyone’s lifestyle. Apparently other fans include Madonna, Debra Messing, and The Olson twins to name a few.

The organic feel of the sterling silver pieces at Freshie and Zero, make them really unique. Some of the pieces are sterling alone, but I appreciate the addition of semi-precious stones in just the right amount to compliment the design of the piece, not to take away from it.

There are many common traits with the jewelry designers that I have reviewed here on Thrifty Boutique Jewelry. One is that jewelry making began as a creative outlet, a hobby which evolved into a full time job that they enjoy. This is also true for designer, Laura Stark. Her stylish jewelry is bold and colorful. It is somewhat eclectic so you are sure to find something that would fit with your style.

You can receive a 10 percent discount on the one-of-a-kind spoon pendant necklaces from jewelry designer Karin Collins and SpoonFedArt.com by mentioning Health magazine. SpoonFed Art is profiled in the January/February issue of Health and the discount is valid throughout the entire months of January and February 2007. Check out page 34 of the current issue of Health magazine or go to www.Health.com/offers for more details. And please have a look at www.SpoonFedArt.com to view Karin's latest creations!
Here is Health's coverage: "Jewelry That's Food For Thought"Art can be very therapeutic. And that's why Karin Collins began designing one-of-a-kind necklace pendants while recovering from an eating disorder. Using small stainless-steel spoons as her canvas, Collins creates a collage in the base of each utensil using everything from colored glass to tiny beads and dried flowers. Each SpoonFed Art necklace really is a mini work of art (most are $85, www.SpoonFedArt.com) and a portion of the proceeds goes to the National Eating Disorders Association. We loved the necklaces so much that we worked out a deal with Collins to offer them at 10 percent off for our readers during January and February. Visit Health.com/offers to get more details.

The highlight is the gemstone in Colleen Berg Jewelry. Different ways to show it off and display it are evident in her designs. I just love her use of linear necklaces to highlight one to two special stones. From her earrings and rings to her bracelets and necklaces, you easily could find a nice set to give as a gift or give to yourself at http://colleenberg.com

KT Collection is jewelry that is inspired by Manhattan’s fashion world, the home of designer Katie Thompson. Her other inspiration comes from her extensive world travels, combining unusual stones and rich colors while at the same time keeping up with current jewelry trends. I’m in love with these adorable Asian inspired earrings that are very exotic looking and come in 5 different colors at only $20 a pair.
Take 10% off your order at KT Collection by using code kt2007 at checkout.

The patterns that simple shapes can make are the hallmark of Heather Guidero. The materials and techniques that she uses to create these magical pieces allow the geometry of each piece to exist first and foremost. Not only do you notice the intricate, yet simple designs of these pieces but you hear them as well as one piece clinks gently against another. Mention you found Heather Guidero here on Thrifty Boutique and receive 10% off your order for the entire month of January.

Caroline Drake has been making jewelry since she learned the basics of jewelry making and soldering in high school. Her wonderful jewelry is honed from years of experience and inspiration from her father’s home country of France where she spent many summers.
Armelle Jewelry is created with sterling silver, 14k gold filled wire, and lovely semi-precious stones. The shapes are feminine and modern. Visit Armelle Jewelry for a little taste of Paris.

Pieces have been described as dramatic with dark, vivid colors. Some call it Goth, I call it incredible! The works of Ahna, the designer of Shattered Glass are distinct. All of the work, she creates. She even cuts the cabochons. Currently Shattered Glass is running a “Make me an Offer” sale on all of her jewelry you can find on her etsy site: http://ahna.etsy.com

My first impression of Nek jewelry is that this is jewelry that you can wear at a wedding and then wear it the next day to lunch. We’re talkin’ versatile jewelry that can take you anywhere at anytime. It’s somewhat understated but makes a blast of an impression as well. Nek Jewelry is so gracious as to offer free shipping or 15% off orders over $50, simply enter: SHIP IT FREE or 15% OFF during step 2 of checkout. These codes never expire and may be used as many times as you like. Don't be afraid to tell all your friends about 'em too!
