One other thing about emailing.
The PM system in the forum
has a max limit in the sent folder, inbox, etc
and that limit is pretty low,
only something like 20 - 30 messages.
Will this be handled by the new server?
Thanks!

Make up a new genre.
Seriously, new genres are made all the time. Like folk metal. Who would've seen that coming, or figured it was "appropriate" before people started doing it?
Just go for it, man. You'll come up with something dope and open new doors for the entire human race.
Good luck!

I personally wouldn't bother.
Even in the contests that are legit
you've got to really kick rear
in a crowd-pleasing
pop sort of way.
Think "American Idol".
The chances of even getting exposure
are infinitessimal,
let alone winning.
Don't bother.

All I can tell you,
personally,
about sticker labels is that
they might peel off.
I made a CD a few years ago
and decided to try the sticker method
instead of getting a true CD pressed.
Now the sticker is peeling off on my copy.
I feel
terribly embarassed about any of the ones still out there
in the hands of someone
who might enjoy the music
but now can't
because the CD won't play.
Looks terribly unprofessional.
It'd be nice if people would look past the package
and focus on the content.
But they don't.

| Ring Tones... here is what seems to work. I placed some key parts to some of our tracks in my phone as ring tones. When they go off, I get some very interesting comments sometimes from those around me... I hand them a business card with all the details of our band. This has lead to downloads and some CD Sales. |

I went to a Salvador Santana show last week at the Knitting Factory with my friends from Fontana and I was surprised at how good Carlos Santanas son was at performing. His keyboard skills are sick. Hes gonna be on tour with his dad so thats definitely something to check out if u like them both.

Would this be some kind of collaboration project? I know you mention that we'd compose music "individuall or as bands", but... still. I'd be interested if it's a big collab project. Collabs are fun. Real fun.
