16 Horsepower
Thought there might be some interest in this. Blood Flower was a band that included David Eugene Edwards, Jeffrey-Paul Norlander and Slim Cessna. I found this 7" EP they did called Come, Faithful and True which features Edwards on guitar. Enjoy.
01 - Intro
02 - Durango
03 - Tree house
04 - Straw
05 - Harvest
I knew I recognized "I Wonder As I Wander" (new Woven Hand track available via
Myspace, in case you missed it) but couldn't quite place it.
For those who are likewise ignorant:

Someone should add Woven Hand's version to the list in the entry. I'd do it, but I'm a bit rushed and not in a Wikipedia-editing kind of mood at the moment.
woven hand- i wonder as i wander
this is a contribution to the familyre christmas compilation, which can be downloaded for free here. it's also available on woven hand's myspace page.

fire spirit - 16 horsepower & noir desir
not the same as the cover on 'hoarse'.
My lady did a digital paintjob over a photo of Dee by Samuel Durling. I think--perhaps slightly biased--that it's quite fantastic.

Klaatu Barada!
Is there anybody interested in some CD-R-trading (16-HP- and Woven-Hand-shows)?
If yes, please drop me a line - thanks!
Take care,
Humbertovich
Hi.
I made this community cos there wasn't one.
However I don't feel I should be moderating it as I don't live in Denver anymore and am not really part of the scene. Well mostly the latter. Anyways, the community is up for grabs. Let me know if you be interested in taking over. Only thing I ask is to keep the spammers out.
Thanks!
this is a long shot, but i'm gonna ask anyway.
does anyone know if there are any plans to put out an audio companion to the live dvd? because i would like to have one, being the bootleg-fiend that i am. i have the capabilities to make on myself and while its not hard to do, i don't want to step on any toes. i assume we'd have known about it by now if it was gonna happen.
also, if anyone wants it, i'm more than happy to share if i do end up making it.
i found an illustration to 'spliners'.
and i am a really really bad person.
December 9th Woven Hand plays at Moscow at Club na Brestskoj. Just want to share my joy with somebody who understands.
did anyone here go to the Munly and the Lee Lewis Harlots Show at the South Union in Chicago?
or does anyone know of someone (besides myself) who went?
Rebecca just asked me if I knew anyone who had photos of the show, since they hadn't seen any yet.
(x-posted, sorry if you get a double smack)
new interview with david eugene edwards
smart man.

i don't know if i posted this before, but i was sending to to a friend and i figured i'd go ahead and post it here too in case anyone wants it.
a VERY nice bootleg, no real complaints about it at all.

also, i'll be getting the little 16HP tattooed on the 12th.
i really am the only one posting here anymore, huh?
In case any of you are planning to go to the Woven Hand show in Philly and haven't heard yet, the show has apparently been moved from The Theatre For The Living Arts to The First Unitarian Church. I don't think any of the other dates have been changed from when they were first anounced, but don't quote me on that.
I find it kind of amusing that they are playing Chapel Hill NC, then Falls Church VA, then the Unitarian Church in Philly. I'm easily amused.
Who did the artwork for the first Woven Hand CD? Is it listed in the booklet and I'm just not seeing it?
guess what lucky beast is going to be taking the train to seattle to see DEE, then get straight back on the train and come home to portland to see him again the next day?
if you guessed ME, you would be correct.
Seeing as no one else has posted this yet, I'd thought I'd pass it along for them what ain't seen it yet:

hey kids, here's something nice:
'introducing...' from the denver gentlemen.
i guess this is kind of hard to find (my fellow 16hp fanatic best friend couldn't find it even with his mad downloading skillz), but i found it on soulseek and now i'm sharing it with you.it... err... takes a little getting used to. i've grown to enjoy it quite a bit. DEE's vocals are possibly the most spastic thing i've ever heard, but in a good way. i'm glad his voice progressed though.
err.. i've just been informed that it's not actually DEE on vocals here? anyone care to second that?
