Your guide to the most useful and fun sites on the web!

This game from OneMoreLevel.com is simple but extremely entertaining. There are no instructions, but all you need to know is that you don't want to fall, you click the mouse to fire web, and the object of the game is to get as far as you can. Good luck!

The world's tallest virtual building! Websites could once pay to become "tenants" in this building. The project is now shut down, but you can still view the result, which is really cool!

Last post I mentioned National Geographic wallpapers. I thought I'd continue by posting some more cool wallpaper websites:
A simple Google search for "desktop wallpaper" will bring up sites like Desktopia and FreeDesktopWallpapers.net. But in this post I want to focus on some of the lesser known gems available on the web. Here are my favorites (all free), in no particular order:
1. 3dWorld - Not a huge selection here, but the few that are available are pretty cool.
2. EdenPics - A gallery of beautiful nature photos (perfectly sized for desktops).
3. WinMatrix Forums - for PCs that wish they were Macs, check out this forum thread which links the download pages for generic Macintosh wallpapers.
4. Movie Wallpapers - like the name says, this is a place to download movie wallpapers! The site is a little bit hard to navigate, but there are some good desktop pictures on the site... if you can find them.
Thats all for now! I will probably be posting more sometime in the future.

A collection of beautiful (and free) desktop wallpapers taken by National Geographic magazine photographers.

A collection of videos that will teach you how to be as cool as Jason Bourne!

Here is a speech Steve Jobs (of Apple Computers) made at Stanford University a couple years ago. It is quite inspirational.

Say goodbye to Arial and Times New Roman! BetterFonts is probably the best place to get fonts on the net. It has over 10000 free fonts (and counting) that you can download for free!

Have you ever wondered how many of those Starbucks Caffe Latte's it would take to kill you? Probably not, but if you are wondering now, head on over to Death by Caffeine. On this interesting website, you enter your weight and your choice of beverage (there are tons to choose from, including Diet Coke, Dr. Pepper, Red Bull, and even Chocolate Milk!). The site then calculates how many consecutive drinks of that type it would take to kill you. It would only take 100 cans of Diablo Energy to kill me!

This is a parody of the anti-piracy ad that you always see in theaters and sometimes at the beginning of DVDs. It was done by a TV show called the IT Crowd, which (I could be wrong) is only available in the UK. Anyways, its hilarious.

This website sells a bunch of beautifully designed t-shirts for only $16 each! And not only are they beautiful, many of them are also quite clever (all without using any words). This shirt and this shirt are examples of FullBleed's cleverness, while the "Burning Bridges" shirt is by far my personal favorite.

Bonus: I've been trying to figure what this picture is. I think that it's an ad for 3M, and there are showcasing how much they trust the glass they manufacture. Whatever it is, they are sure putting their money where their mouth is!

I just saw this movie yesterday night, and it was amazing! An Oscar winner? Could be! The movie is based on the true story of Frank Lucas, a nobody who eventually rises to become one of the movie powerful gangsters and New York/New Jersey.

This website consists of links to hundreds of free software for Windows computers. Overall, it is a useful and nicely organized site. I was quite impressed!

Have you ever downloaded a new program on your computer, just to find that it isn't anywhere near as good as the old version? Then you uninstalled it, just to find that the program creator took the download link off of his site. How frustrating! Head on over to OldApps.com, where there are tons of links to old versions of popular programs. For free too!

A while ago a I posted about a Sensational Site called Pandora (see post). Now, there is a post at Lifehacker.com entitled:
"Technophilia: 15 ways to get more out of Pandora"
This post contains lots of cool tip and tricks for enhancing your experience with Pandora.

OneThousandPaintings.com has quite an interesting idea. They are selling paintings of numbers from 1 to 1000. There's not really much more to say, just check it out!

Someone keeps stealing my letters... You know those cool magnetic letters for fridges? In this fun game, you can write messages by dragging the letters. It's not easy though; everyone else on the page can also drag letters, including yours!

You know those sites that you need to enter an email address to use? I hate giving out me email to them; that's how you get tons of spam. So I use today's Sensational Site, TemporaryInbox.com. Like the name suggests, it acts as a temporary inbox that you can use just long enough to sign up for these sites, and then forget about. You don't even need to enter any personal information to sign up!

A strangely addictive tetris-like game. You try to keep the blocks from reaching the bottom of your screen (and crushing the little person) by grouping them in fours so that they disappear. You can also use dynamite.

ChaCha has a really innovative way of searching the net. With a guide! That's right, when you search on this Sensational Site a real person will help you find what you're looking for! You can chat with your guide live by using the chat box on the left side of the page. Try it out!

On DriveMeInsane.com, you can try to drive people insane by controling their lights and other electronic equipment. Here is an excerpt from the site:
"You are now visiting DriveMeInsane.com, a website located in Texas. Experience a deranged social environment. Spy on strange, moderately interesting people from around the world. And turn on their lights. And yes, it's all real."

Today's Sensational Site is all about exploring what you can do with words and text. My personal favourite is ASCII-O-Matic, which converts pictures into text (really neat!). What's yours? Leave a comment.
