This candidates development responsibilities are primarily C#/.NET GUI programming, with scripting, Excel, and other technologies required based on business needs. The group is in the process of moving from a UNIX/C++/Motif client/server application environment towards a C#/.NET client and UNIX server environment. Support responsibilities include working with users to field requests, troubleshooting issues, and setting up new users. In-house software includes various pricing tools and electronic trading applications (written primarily in C++ and C#). A basic knowledge of all applications supported will be expected over time to better serve the user base. The role demands strong communication skills due to extensive user support. The individual should be self-directed, and possess the ability to switch tasks and reprioritize their workload frequently. Desire and ability to take on and be responsible for open issues are a must. The group reports primarily to the Dealership Trading & Sales Desk; however, other trading desks as well as back/middle office are supported as well, as the group's software runs throughout the Firm. Complete number of users supported by the group in some capacity is 300+ spread over 7 offices including Tokyo and London.
