By default, Alpine uses a directory called Mail in your home directory to store local copies of its folders. However, if you use alpine from other remote machines, or perhaps a local IMAP server as Alpine does not natively support Maildir, then you will want to use folders through the IMAP server itself.
To set this up, run alpine and then follow these instructions:
1. Hit S to enter Setup
2. Hit L to enter collectionLists
3. Create a new entry by hitting A
Tired of typing your password everytime you login to IMAP with Alpine?
# touch ~/.pine-passfile
Next time you run Alpine, it will prompt you for password then prompt you to save it.
Tested on Ubuntu Hardy only.
Kara's cat is genius. It's name is Bubbles, after jumping on her Toshiba notebook's keyboard -- maybe it was after a mouse but only could find a touch-pad.
Anyways super key-combo cat managed to press the hot-key/s for flipping the screen orientation -- for what use there is for the feature I have no idea?!
Kara rings up and explains, I laughed until I cried. You could hear in her voice that she was freaking out that she's broken the week old note-book and how was she going to tell Ryan (Husband).
So, it's been a year since the creation of Hardy's server ssl certificate and you'll be wanting to recreate a new certificate to get rid of the error messages in Thunderbird.
This is what you may be seeing or something like this, hostname and date will be different of course.
"server" is a site that uses a security certificate to encrypt data during transmission, but its certificate expired on 14/06/2008 7:31 AM
