I think Wow! covers it. I learned by following links, that Young Spock actor, Zachary Quinto is a fellow Pittsburgher. In the trailer below, he looks perfect as Spock. I'm ready.
You can create your own blog in Blogger in two minutes. When someone has never blogged before, but is now certain they have something to say, share, or show, then I suggest they go to Blogger to get started. It's so easy to create and post to the blog, that you'll soon discover that the technology isn't the hurdle. Attached is a helpful video to show you how to create a blog in two minutes.
I have accidentally set my cell phone into some mode where it will call out the word "borborygmus" rather than ring with one of my fancy ring tones. It sounds exactly like this when I get a call:
Show Notes: Eric Rodgers talks with Phil Yanov, executive director of the GSA Technology Council and blogger at ThinkHammer , about the Twilight Turtle that projects a starry sky onto the ceiling of a child's room.

Posted by email from Thinkhammer's Post Posterous
I'm using Posterous to allow me to email in some of my posts. Since this blog is largely a lifestream collection anyway, I thought I'd let posterous keep copies of my posts here. Let's see what happens. Let me know if I get something caught in a perpetual loop. (That is my biggest fear.)
We got this hatching egg toy for Halloween and after putting it in water, it started cracking the egg in 12 hours and then hatching in 24. Kathryn thought it was very cool. It's a dinosaur.
The secret to being a cable news announcer is to yell your script. That's just one of the things I learned from Bob Garfield's interview with Will Graham and Carol Kolb of the Onion News Network. It occurred to me as I listened to the piece, that watching the Onion News Network might make you a savvier consumer of the cable news shows.
The Onion News Network does for video what the Onion newspaper does for print – satire of current events and the media themselvesListen:
If you are as old as me then you'll remember that MTV was once all about music videos. The channel was mesmerizing, is added compelling video to popular music in a format that for any years was absolutely addictive. You could turn on the channel, sit down in your bean bag chair and lose hours at a time.
In the spirit of Halloween, I'll embed here a video that is also vintage. It's the long version of Michael Jackson's Thriller:
We WILL be at the Handlebar on Saturday to hear our favorite band, the Red Elvises!
The Oktober Revolution returns with the Stooges of the Steppes - the Red Elvises! And they've got a new album, too, Cooking With Jesus. The surf rock/rockabilly madmen have 10 studio albums, a double live album and have been featured in TV and movies, including Six String Samurai, Mail Order Bride, VH1's Behind the Music and Melrose Place. An addictive combo of high-octane rock, hilarious lyrics and vodka-accented crooning, the Red Elvises are incapable of anything but an amazing show. Nutso psycho-billy, their outsized balalaika, wild animal-print suits, pelvic gyrations and on-demand crowd participation has created a worldwide Rokenrol Revolution. One of our most-requested bands, the Elvises are a guaranteed good time. If you haven’t seen this band, cancel what you have planned and get your glasnost on! AND WHAT COULD MAKE IT EVEN BETTER: YES FOLKS, A FUN RED BULL PROMOTION -- making that vodka-infused fun ...

Here's a Birthday Greeting shot and sent with the Flip Mino.
Argiope writing spider. I love seeing these spiders. They let me know it's fall, time for apple cider and pumpkin pie, Halloween, cooler weather, and the county fair.
I just don't see how people can say there is no Cthulhu when you see his handiwork everywhere. I found this monstrosity on my doorstep this morning. I'm glad the wife didn't see it first or the sound coming from her might have broken the glass storm door.
NB: I learned how to make this Friendfeed post over at this very smart blog. ;)
I tried to embed the slideshow here, but wasn't happy with the results. Look here instead.
Earlier this year, the GSA Technology Council launched a networking event for high tech entrepreneurs and tech professionals. The group meets the 3rd Wednesday of every month, and so far it looks like everyone is having a good time.

If you are looking at this page and not finding what you are looking for, it may be that you are looking for my blog on leading a connected life in the world of work. That's another blog which has far fewer pictures of my kids. Not only is it mostly work, it is also somewhat, but not exceedingly, spiffy looking as it just got a new coat of paint which did in fact involve scraping off the old paint right down to the bare metal.

A live call-in hour on the Internet and related technologies. Eric Rodgers hosts Internet expert and blogger Phil Yanov, founder and executive director of the GSA Technology Council. Listeners can call in via the tollfree number 888-539-8859 to ask questions about using the Internet, computers, new digital devices, and related topics.
We're live from Noon until 1 PM on WEPR 90.1 FM and we stream live on the web.
Where else might you listen?
Honda Goldwing Wing Ding 2008 in Greenville, SC. This is a sample video created with the Flip Mino and the embedded muvee software.
Once I had seen how the Muvee software worked, I shot video in short clips with the idea that I would paste them together with the Muvee software later. I knew that I would care very little about the sound at the event as it would end up being background to the music track. I then selected all of my video clips and told the Movie Mixer to make the clip. This is what I got. I am amazed at what it turns out. In this particular case, I used a piece of downloaded music as the sound track.
My evaluation of the Flip Mino continues. This is an impromptu moment where Kathryn invites me to play harmonica with her. Flip Mino operated by Mom.
Here is a chance to see my very first thoughts of the Flip Mino as well as a bit of it's output. You may also learn one very simple technique for avoiding food you don't like. Sure, you think it's easy, but sometimes a bad meal is just what you need in order to avoid having two bad meals.
