It’s been awhile since I posted, been really focused on other things. Like Twitter. Ha. Anyway, because I’ve got more to say about last night presidential debate, and the political sporting event going on here, than I can fit into 140 characters I figured I’d write a blog post. Lucky you.
Well, the Muxtape experiment is over. I can’t seem to upload anymore so it’s back to creating mixtapes the “old fashioned” way! I hope you like this one, there is so much good music floating around right now, it was a bit hard for me to whittle down to something manageable. This one is pretty mellow (except at the beginning) and I’m not exactly sure why that is, but it’s a good one.
Sarah recently wrote about how (and why) she didn’t like talking on the phone. I think this is a common feeling, probably much, much more common than many people give credit. And likely for many different reasons. I know I usually hate talking on the phone, and I’ve got quite a few reasons why that is.
So, I’ve been really busy and not really had time to blog it up. I have, in the last few months, created several Muxtapes. Wanna hear ‘em, here they go. http://danger5.muxtape.com/
I saw Kelly Vivanco’s work on NOTCOT.org and was delighted. It’s fresh, fun, sort of silly and really, really good. Be sure to check out her comic, Patches too, it’s great.
Over the last week or so I’ve decided, among lots of other, probably more important tasks, to have a good look at the applications and software I’m using. The main reason being that I’ve recently begun using quite a few different applications and want to see if I can cut down on the number of tools I use on a day-to-day basis.
Time for another mix! This time it’s mostly new stuff, and it’s kind of all over the place so you’ll forgive me if there aren’t a whole lot of clean transitions.
Yuko Shimizu has an original and very cool take on traditional Japanese art. I really love the feel of this stuff and it’s so cool how modern subjects are captured. Great stuff here.
I’m a pretty productive guy and I’m often asked what I do to get things done. Well, I thought it’d be cool to talk a bit about how I stay productive as my first blog post of 2008. It’s actually pretty simple, I mean, keeping it simple is kind of key to my whole philosophy. In my opinion, one of the biggest deterrents to getting things done is having a system that has to be managed. If you’re spending more time looking for new ways to help you get things done you’re missing the point. Keep it simple. I’ve got a few “rules” and methods that I stick to pretty religiously that make up about 90% of what keeps me productive. Want to know what they are? Read on.
